Immunity

No cause of action in the nature of defamation, invasion of privacy or negligence arises against any
person for disclosing personal information in accordance with this chapter, nor does such a cause of
action arise against any person for furnishing personal information to a regulated insurance entity or
insurance support organization. This section provides no immunity for disclosing or furnishing false
information with malice or willful intent to injure any person. [PL 1997, c. 677, §3 (NEW); PL
