Objectives

The objectives of this Act are: [P&SL 1973, c. 38, Pt. B, §1 (NEW).]
1. To secure and maintain maximum independence and dignity in a family and home environment
for people capable of self-care with the benefit of priority social services;

2. To remove individual and social barriers to personal and economic independence for citizens;
and

3. To better utilize existing resources available at the national, state and local levels in order to
