Parity among counselors

1. Licensed clinical social workers and licensed clinical professional counselors. Licensed
clinical social workers must be eligible to receive Medicaid reimbursement for counseling services
whenever licensed clinical professional counselors are eligible to be reimbursed for those services.

2. Licensed master social workers and licensed professional counselors. Licensed master

licensed master social workers are eligible to be reimbursed for those services.

3. Licensed clinical professional counselors. A licensed clinical professional counselor, as
defined in Title 32, section 13851, subsection 2, must be eligible to receive MaineCare reimbursement
for counseling services at the same rate as a licensed clinical social worker, as defined in Title 32,
section 7001-A, subsection 6.
