Maine Code § 14-710

Service of precepts for work-jails in one or more counties

An officer of any county qualified to serve precepts in criminal cases in the county where he resides
may serve any precept required by the laws providing for work-jails, whether such service is performed
in whole or in part in one or more counties, and processes shall be issued and directed accordingly.
