1. Prohibition. Except as otherwise provided in this section, a person may not directly or indirectly purchase or sell the following species of fish: A. Black bass; [PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §271 (NEW); PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §422 (AFF).] B. Landlocked salmon; [PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §271 (NEW); PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §422 (AFF).] C. Pickerel; [PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §271 (NEW); PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §422 (AFF).] D. Togue; [PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §271 (NEW); PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §422 (AFF).] E. Trout; or [PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §271 (NEW); PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §422 (AFF).] F. White perch. [PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §271 (NEW); PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §422 (AFF).] [PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §271 (NEW); PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §422 (AFF).] 2. Fish produced by commercial producers or imported. A person may purchase or sell fish that have been lawfully produced by commercial producers within the State or that have been lawfully imported from without the State. [PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. A person may purchase or sell the skins of fish that have been preserved for display through the art of taxidermy. [PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §271 (NEW); PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §422 (AFF).] 4. Penalty. A person who violates this section commits a Class E crime. The court shall also impose a fine of $20 for each fish unlawfully possessed, none of which may be suspended.
