Importing live bait

A person may not import into this State any live fish, including smelts, that are commonly used for
bait fishing in inland waters. [PL 2003, c. 414, Pt. A, §2 (NEW); PL 2003, c. 614, §9 (AFF).]
A person who violates this section commits a Class E crime. The court shall also impose a fine of
$20 for each fish unlawfully possessed, none of which may be suspended. [PL 2003, c. 414, Pt. A,
§2 (NEW); PL 2003, c. 614, §9 (AFF).]
