1. Dealers. A dealer who is licensed according to this chapter may install or service, or may have
the dealer's employees install or service, any manufactured housing in compliance with this chapter,
and the dealer and the dealer's employees are exempt from any requirements for trade or mechanic
licenses of any other type. The dealer is not exempt from any requirements for a permit that any state
or political subdivision may require.

2. Manufacturers. A manufacturer may manufacture or sell to dealers and developer dealers
when licensed as a manufacturer of manufactured housing and may repair defects and is exempt from
any licensing requirements of other state or political subdivisions.

3. Mechanics. Licensed mechanics may install or service HUD-code homes and pre-HUD-code
homes and are exempt from any other licensing requirements of any state or political subdivisions, but
must obtain any permits required.

4. Installers. Licensed installers may install and service state-certified modular homes and are
exempt from any other licensing requirements of any state or political subdivisions but must obtain any
permits required.
