Scope; construction

1. Consumer rights. Nothing in this chapter in any way limits the rights or remedies which are
otherwise available to a consumer under any other law.

2. Manufacturers, distributors, agents and dealers. Nothing in this chapter in any way limits
the rights or remedies of franchisees under chapter 204 or other applicable law.

3. Waivers void. Any agreement entered into by a consumer which waives, limits or disclaims
the rights set forth in this chapter shall be void as contrary to public policy.
