Self-dealing by corporate trustee

A. A corporate trustee shall not purchase for a trust shares of its own stock, or its bonds or other securities, or the stock, bonds, or other securities of an affiliate, unless the trust instrument provides otherwise; but the trustee may retain any such securities, together with any rights pertaining thereto, if acquired other than by purchase by that trustee. B. A corporate trustee may invest or reinvest in the securities of mutual funds registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940, even if the trustee or an affiliate thereof receives compensation with respect to such mutual fund, provided that the compensation is reasonable and the basis for determining the compensation is disclosed to all beneficiaries affected by the investment.
