Louisiana Code § RS 9:1285

Location of the utility servitude

The owner of the dominant estate may not demand the location of the utility servitude anywhere that the owner chooses. The location of the utility servitude generally shall be taken along the shortest route that is the least injurious to the servient estate and intervening lands.
