A. Any person who was a wildlife enforcement agent with the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and who retired or otherwise left the department in good standing but who has maintained his certification by the POST Council or any other person who is a peace officer who has maintained his certification by the POST Council may be commissioned as a reserve agent under the provisions of this Subpart. B. The secretary may commission a reserve agent as provided herein if the person satisfies the requirements of R.S. 56:69.7 as may be determined necessary by the secretary. C. Each reserve agent shall have all the powers of and may function as a wildlife agent, but shall receive no compensation for his participation as a reserve agent in the auxiliary agent program.
