Rules and regulations for protection and preservation of fish

A. Whenever the commission deems it for the best interest of the state, it may entirely prohibit the taking of any species of fish in any part of the state, particularly in any lake or stream either wholly or partially within the state, for not more than a three-year period. B. The commission shall be authorized to promulgate rules and regulations pertaining to seasons, times, sizes, and places for freshwater commercial fish netting. C. Such prohibitions, rules, and regulations shall be adopted in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, R.S. 49:950 et seq.
