Carrier pigeons, killing or catching when banded prohibited; penalty

No person, other than the owner or his authorized representative, shall kill, wound, catch, or hold in possession, living or dead, a racing (homing, or carrier) pigeon, which has on its legs a seamless metal band bearing a name, letter, or number. Whoever violates this Section shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than one hundred dollars, or imprisoned for not less than ten days nor more than thirty days, or both.
