Method of appointment of board members; term of office; vacancies

A. The governor shall appoint the appointed members of the board. Each appointment by the governor shall be submitted to the Senate for confirmation. The members, other than the governor , lieutenant governor, and the legislative members, shall serve for terms of four years which shall be concurrent with the term of the governor making the appointments. The governor and lieutenant governor shall serve during the term of office of each. The legislative members serve in their capacity as chair of their respective committees. Each member shall continue to serve until his successor is appointed and takes office. B. A vacancy occurring for any reason shall be filled in the manner provided in Subsection A hereof.
