A. When a private child support collection agency is found by a court to have violated the provisions of R.S. 51:1443, the court shall award to the state a civil penalty not to exceed ten thousand dollars. B. A collection agency found by a court to have violated any of the provisions of R.S. 51:1444 through 1447 shall be ordered to pay to the plaintiff a civil penalty not to exceed five thousand dollars per violation and reasonable attorney fees, expenses, and court costs. C. The civil penalties provided in this Section shall be cumulative to each other and any other provision of law.
