Definition of terms

As used in this Chapter, the following terms have the meanings ascribed to them in this Section unless otherwise clearly indicated by context: (1) "Agency" means any of the following state departments: NOTE: Subparagraph (1)(a) eff. until Oct. 1, 2027. See Acts 2025, No. 478. (a) Department of Children and Family Services. NOTE: Subparagraph (1)(a) as repealed by Acts 2025, No. 478, §17, eff. Oct. 1, 2027. (a) Repealed by Acts 2025, No. 478, §17, eff. Oct. 1, 2027. (b) Department of Education. (c) Louisiana Department of Health. (d) Louisiana Works. (2) "Procedural reason" means a reason for an action on a program case related to an agency's nonreceipt of materials or information necessary for determining benefit eligibility. (3) "Program" means any of the following: (a) Medicaid. (b) Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). (c) Family Independence Temporary Assistance (FITAP). (d) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). (e) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). (f) Unemployment Compensation. (g) Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP).
