Louisiana Code § RS 48:511

Changing public road; penalty

A. No person shall turn, alter, or change any public road as defined in R.S. 48:491 and being a parish or municipal road, except upon order of the governing authority of the parish for a parish road, whether or not within a municipality, or upon order of the governing authority of the municipality for a municipal road. B. Whoever violates this Section shall be fined one hundred dollars for each month the road is altered or turned out of its old course.
