Local citizen review board access to records; assistance of court

A. Each local citizen review board shall have access to any records of the court, the department, and any agency or institution directly responsible for care or placement of the child, which pertain to the child assigned to the local board for review or to his parents, or contain information relevant to planning or providing assistance or services to the child or family. B. All requested records not already before the local citizen review board, when requested, shall be submitted by the organization in possession of the records within five working days of receipt of the request. Copies may be sent in lieu of originals. C. Should the local citizen review board be denied access to requested records, it may request the court to hold a hearing, at which time the court shall require the organization in possession of the records to show cause why the records should not be surrendered as provided by this Section.
