A. Subject to the applicable provisions of the Louisiana Constitution, a local government may not exercise its power of eminent domain to condemn plant, equipment, or real property of a private provider for the purpose of providing to a subscriber a covered service. B. Nothing contained in Subsection A of this Section shall be construed or applied in any manner to preclude a local government from exercising its power of eminent domain for any other lawful purpose other than for the purpose proscribed in Subsection A of this Section.
