A. Recorders shall have repaired and rebound such books and records as have become, or may hereafter become, so materially or seriously damaged or worn as to render their repair or rebinding necessary in order to prevent their destruction, the loss of the sheets or their disfiguration. B. The repairing and rebinding shall be paid for by the police jury of the parish in which the work is done, out of the general fund or any other fund available for that purpose.
