Facilities and programs to assist homeless persons

A local housing authority may: (1) Develop, acquire, own, renovate, lease, and operate facilities specifically intended to house and otherwise assist homeless persons, including without limitation shelters and transitional housing. (2) Provide other assistance and services to homeless persons. Such housing and other assistance may be provided in such manner, upon such conditions, and for such duration as the local housing authority shall deem appropriate.
