A. Any person is exempt from the provisions of this Chapter to the extent that such person: (1) Uses equipment which emits ultraviolet radiation incidental to its normal operation. (2) Does not use the equipment described in Paragraph (1) of this Subsection to deliberately expose parts of the living human body to ultraviolet radiation for the purpose of tanning or other treatment. B. Any physician licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners is exempt from the provisions of this Chapter and is authorized to use a phototherapy device or other medical diagnostic and therapeutic equipment which emits ultraviolet radiation. C. Any individual is exempt from the provisions of this Chapter to the extent that such individual owns tanning equipment exclusively for noncommercial use. D. Tanning equipment while in transit or storage incidental thereto is exempt from the provisions of this Chapter.
