Louisiana Code § RS 40:2530.3

For the purposes of this Chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings: (1) "Missing person with developmental disabilities" means a person whose whereabouts are unknown; whose domicile at the time he is reported missing is in this state; and whose disappearance poses a credible threat to the safety and health of himself, as determined by a local law enforcement agency. (2) "Missing senior citizen" means a person whose whereabouts are unknown; whose domicile at the time he is reported missing is in this state; whose age at the time he is first reported missing is sixty years of age or older; and whose disappearance poses a credible threat to the safety and health of himself, as determined by a local law enforcement agency.
