A. The purpose of this Part is to authorize the Louisiana Department of Health to promulgate and publish rules and regulations to provide for the licensing of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) providers; to provide for the health, safety, welfare, well-being, and comfort of persons receiving services from PACE providers; and to provide for the safe operation and maintenance of PACE providers. B. The purpose of a PACE provider is to provide prepaid, capitated, comprehensive healthcare service to Medicare and Medicaid recipients or other qualified individuals who are enrolled in PACE services.
