A. Each firm engaged in life safety and property protection contracting who sells a life safety or property protection system to a consumer shall return the lockout, installer, or programming code of the system to the factory default setting within five business days following notification when the consumer cancels the contract with the firm provided all original contractual obligations are fulfilled. B. In addition to the penalties provided in this Subpart, any life safety and property protection contracting firm who violates this Section shall have its license revoked and be subject to a civil fine pursuant to this Subpart.
