Unlawful storage of explosives

A. It is unlawful to store explosives within the boundaries of the state of Louisiana unless in a storage magazine properly licensed under R.S. 40:1472.3, except that the storage of commercially manufactured black powder by historical and cultural reenactors of twenty-five pounds or less as authorized in this Part shall be stored in the factory-provided packages and boxes or in an approved day-box portable magazine. B. Any person who violates the provisions of this Section shall upon conviction be fined not less than one thousand five hundred dollars nor more than ten thousand dollars or be imprisoned with or without hard labor for not less than two years nor more than five years, or both.
