PART II. CERTIFICATION AS A MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE OR AS A WOMEN'S BUSINESS ENTERPRISE §1981. Eligibility; federally funded projects A. Any business which meets the definition of a minority business enterprise or of a women's business enterprise as set forth in this Chapter is eligible to be certified by the division as a minority business enterprise or as a women's business enterprise, as appropriate. B. When a federal requirement that is a prescribed condition for allocation of federal funds to the state of Louisiana sets forth criteria for certification which are in conflict with those in this Chapter, a business which meets those federal criteria shall be certified as a minority business enterprise or as a women's business enterprise for state projects funded under those requirements. C. If a local government operates a procurement program requiring certification as a minority or women's business enterprise, that local government may accept certification by the state in lieu of requiring additional certification procedures.
