Unlawful practice; exception

A. No person shall cremate any human remains in any manner, engage in the practice of cremation, or operate a cremation retort without obtaining the proper license in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter. B. No person shall cremate any human remains in a facility that is not licensed for such purpose in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter. C. The provisions of this Part shall not apply to the Bureau of Anatomical Services, Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. However, the crematory operated by the bureau shall be subject to an annual inspection by the board.
