Renewal of license, certificate; penalty

A. A license shall expire annually on the date of issuance unless renewed by payment of the required renewal fee at least thirty days prior to its expiration. The board shall notify the licensee of the renewal at the last known address at least sixty days in advance of the expiration. If a license is not renewed upon its expiration date, it shall be deemed to have lapsed and to be invalid. The delinquent licensee shall apply again for initial licensure. B. The board shall issue the same number for the renewed license as that number issued for the original license or shall deny renewal within thirty days. The board shall promptly notify the licensee if it refuses to renew the license. C. The licensee, within fifteen days after receipt of such notice of intent to refuse to renew a license, may request a hearing on such refusal. A licensee shall be permitted to continue to be engaged in business while his renewal application is pending.
