§1721. Restrictions on advertising reserved to legislature No state board, commission, department, bureau, or similar agency of the state regulating the practice of a trade or profession and exercising rulemaking powers shall make any rule or regulation which limits or restricts the right to advertise, provided that this Section shall not apply to any board, commission, department, bureau, or similar agency of the state created and regulated under the rulemaking power of the Supreme Court of Louisiana or to the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners, the Louisiana State Board of Barber Examiners, the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry, the State Board of Certified Public Accountants of Louisiana, Louisiana Board of Pharmacy, the Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners, the Louisiana Board of Veterinary Medicine, and the Louisiana State Board of Optometry Examiners, and further provided that nothing herein contained shall be construed to prevent the prohibition of false or misleading advertising by any board, commission, department, bureau, or similar agency of the state. The right to regulate advertising except as herein provided is reserved to the legislature.
