Transfer of agencies or their powers to Department of Elderly Affairs

NOTE: See note below regarding effectiveness. NOTE: Acts 2013, No. 384, §8, effective July 1, 2013 per §9(A) of the Act, provides that funds allocated for any purpose under the authority of the Office of Elderly Affairs or its successor, the Department of Elderly Affairs, are allocated only to the Office of Elderly Affairs or its successor and are not to be appropriated, allocated or transferred to any other state department, office or programs. A. The Louisiana Executive Board on Aging (R.S. 46:931 et seq.) is placed within the Department of Elderly Affairs and shall exercise and perform its powers, duties, functions, and responsibilities as provided in R.S. 36:802. B. The Office of Elderly Affairs (formerly R.S. 46:931 et seq.) is hereby abolished and its powers, duties, functions, and responsibilities are transferred to the Department of Elderly Affairs and shall be exercised and performed as provided in Chapter 7 of Title 46 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, as provided in this Chapter, and as provided in Part IV of Chapter 22 of this Title except as otherwise provided in Chapter 7 of Title 46 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950.
