Consolidated drainage and gravity drainage districts

A. A parish governing authority may, except in the parish of Rapides, create consolidated drainage districts, consolidated gravity drainage districts, or consolidated drainage and gravity drainage districts under the authority conferred by this Chapter. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, such districts may be created and administered in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter. B. A consolidated drainage and gravity drainage district may be comprised of existing drainage districts and existing gravity drainage districts and territory not included in an existing district.
