A. It shall be unlawful for any municipality with a population of less than twenty-five thousand persons according to the latest federal decennial census to enact an ordinance forbidding farmers or their employees to sell or peddle farm produce on the streets, avenues, and alleys and in public places located within the municipality. B. It shall be unlawful for any municipality with a population of less than twenty-five thousand persons according to the latest federal decennial census to enact an ordinance forbidding fishermen as defined in R.S. 56:8 or their employees to sell or peddle fish as defined in R.S. 56:8 on the streets, avenues, and alleys and in public places located within the municipality.
