A. Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the governing authority of the parish of Jefferson shall notify each member of the state Senate and House of Representatives who represents any portion of the parish no less than thirty days in advance of any action to be taken on an application for a zoning request or zoning variance to build or enhance any storage facility housing hazardous material, as defined in R.S. 30:2363(7). B. For the purposes of this Section, "notify" shall mean notification via facsimile, certified mail or electronic mail.
