Home rule charter parishes; districts; governance

A. The governing authority of any parish governed by a home rule charter may provide, by ordinance, for the governance of districts created by the parish. Any such ordinance may provide for the creation of one or more supervising boards to govern such districts. Any ordinance that creates a supervising board shall provide for the appointment and compensation of board members. B. This Section shall not apply to the parish of Orleans.
