Notwithstanding any provision of this Part to the contrary, in the city of Plaquemine, members of the civil service board of the city may receive from funds available to the board a per diem for attendance at meetings of the board for a maximum of twenty-four days per year in amounts not to exceed the following: (1) Fifty dollars for the chairman of the board. (2) Twenty-five dollars for all other members.
