A. Before approving and recommending the zoning ordinance or any amendment thereto, the commission shall hold a public hearing thereon, at least ten days notice of the time and place of which shall be published in the legal journal of the parish. If approved by the commission, the zoning ordinance, including the map or maps, may from time to time be amended; but no amendment shall become effective unless it first be submitted to and adopted by the city council of the area affected or the police jury, as the case may be. B. The commission shall hold a public hearing, at least ten days notice of the time and place of which shall be published in the legal journal of the parish, on any matter pertaining to the enforcement or administration of the zoning ordinance.
