Powers of police juries of parishes of Calcasieu, Beauregard, Allen, St. Landry, Acadia, Assumption, Iberville and West Baton Rouge; disposal of industrial waste

A. The police juries of the parishes of Calcasieu, Beauregard, Allen, St. Landry, Acadia, Assumption, Iberville and West Baton Rouge shall have the power, authority, and jurisdiction, concurrent with the state agencies with the same jurisdiction, to enact ordinances to regulate, control, or prohibit the disposal of industrial waste on or under land in the areas of the parishes, not zoned for industrial use, where the land is primarily used for agricultural or residential purposes. B. For the purposes of this Section, the term industrial waste shall include both solid and liquid waste from industrial processes, but shall not include any industrial waste produced by industries or industrial processes regulated by Chapter 1 or Chapter 11 of Title 30 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes.
