Semiannual critical off-road equipment permit; authorization

A. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the secretary shall promulgate rules and regulations in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act as may be necessary to provide for a semiannual critical off-road equipment permit. Critical off-road equipment as defined in the manual entitled "Louisiana Regulations for Trucks, Vehicles and Loads" are either vehicles or combinations of vehicles with booster units, or vehicles not designated as noncritical off-road equipment, or those vehicles classified as critical off-road equipment by the department. B. The fee for a semiannual critical off-road equipment permit shall be based on the following formula: Acts 1999, No. 786, §1. # of lbs. over weight x $.07/ton x # of miles in 6 mos. + $25(adm. fee) 2000
