Administration; interim authority

A. Except as may be otherwise specifically provided in this Chapter, the department shall have exclusive jurisdiction for the development, implementation, and enforcement of a comprehensive state hazardous waste control program consistent with the provisions of this Chapter and applicable federal laws and regulations. B. The department may accept, operate under, and enforce all interim authority for hazardous waste control in the state, as such interim authority may become necessary or advisable pursuant to Public Law 94-580* and the regulations applicable thereto.
