A. When the commissioner believes that a violation of the provisions of this Part or of the regulations adopted pursuant to this Part has occurred, the commissioner may issue a stop order prohibiting the production, processing, handling, distribution, sale, offering for sale, movement, or disturbance of any eggs or egg products. B. Any person aggrieved by a stop order may petition the commission to hold a hearing on the matter. The hearing shall be held in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act and the provisions of this Section. C. Based on the results of the hearing, or a consent agreement mutually entered into by the commissioner and a violator, the commissioner may take one or more of the following actions: (1) Release the eggs or egg products from the stop order. (2) Require the cause for the stop order to be remedied prior to releasing the stop order. (3) Destroy the eggs or egg products. (4) Provide for the disposition of the eggs or egg products.
