A. Each person who records a brand or mark, who renews a recordation, or to whom a recorded brand or mark is transferred, shall be entitled to one certified copy of the recordation, renewal, or transfer free of charge. B. In any civil or criminal action in which the ownership of an animal is in question, a certified copy of a recordation, renewal, or transfer shall be prima facie evidence of the ownership of the animal and shall be admissible in evidence without further foundation.
