Citation; legislative findings; purpose

A. This Part shall be known and may be cited as the Louisiana Right to Forest Law. B.(1) The legislature hereby finds and declares that forestry is an essential contribution to the economy of the state. (2) The legislature further finds that the purpose of this Part is to allow owners of property classified as forest land to conduct activities relating to forest production or if a governmental entity prohibits or severely limits such activities, to compensate the owners for their losses.
