Use of these funds may be applied within or outside the state of Louisiana, including regional, national and international applications as long as the research will benefit Louisiana rice producers. B. Board members, and any committees of the board on which they serve, may be reimbursed for allowable expenses necessarily incurred by them in the performance of their duties. But no such member shall receive a salary or per diem for the performance of such duties.
