A. The legislature finds that because of requirements related to weather conditions that are peculiar to the planting and harvesting of agricultural and horticultural products and other conditions peculiar thereto, including the perishable nature thereof, which peculiar conditions are likewise applicable to the production of livestock, dairy, and poultry products and the practice of animal husbandry, including the care, feeding, and training of horses and because of the substantial impact of such activities on the economy of the state that the provisions of this Part should not be and are not made applicable to the activities exempted from this Part as provided in Subsection B of this Section. B. The provisions of this Part shall not apply to: (1) Aliens employed in the planting and harvesting, on the premises where produced, of agricultural, forestry, or horticultural products. (2) Aliens employed in the production and gathering on the premises where produced, of livestock, dairy, or poultry products. (3) Aliens employed in the field of animal husbandry.
