A. The corporation shall be subject to all applicable laws of the Louisiana Insurance Code relative to an incorporated domestic mutual insurer, except as otherwise specifically provided in this Part. B. Notwithstanding the provisions of R.S. 12:266 to the contrary, the provisions of the Louisiana Nonprofit Corporation Law, as provided in R.S. 12:201 et seq., and other provisions of Title 12 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, relative to nonprofit business corporations, shall apply to the regulation of the business and the conduct of the affairs of the corporation in those situations in which the provisions of this Part and the Louisiana Insurance Code are silent. C. If a conflict arises in the application of the law, the provisions of this Part shall govern first, followed by the provisions of the Louisiana Insurance Code, and finally, by the provisions of Title 12 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950.
