Reciprocity; non-reciprocal states or other jurisdictions

A. The commissioner of insurance shall waive any requirements for a nonresident license applicant with a valid license from his home state, except the requirements imposed by R.S. 22:1808.5, if the applicant's home state awards nonresident licenses to residents of this state on the same basis. B. A nonresident consultant's satisfaction of his home state's continuing education requirements for licensed insurance consultants shall constitute satisfaction of this state's continuing education requirements if the nonresident consultant's home state recognizes the satisfaction of its continuing education requirements imposed upon consultants from this state on the same basis. C. Whenever, by the laws or regulations of any other state or jurisdiction, any limitation of rights and privileges, conditions precedent, or any other requirements are imposed upon residents of this state who are nonresident applicants or licensees of such other state or jurisdiction in addition to, or in excess of, those imposed on nonresidents pursuant to this Part, the same such requirements shall be imposed upon such residents of such other state or jurisdiction. This Part shall not apply to fees, which shall be as authorized by R.S. 22:821.
