Supervisory Committee on Campaign Finance Disclosure/Board of Ethics; functions; compensation; immunity

A. The Supervisory Committee on Campaign Finance Disclosure is established. The Board of Ethics, as established in R.S. 42:1132, shall function as the supervisory committee to administer and enforce the provisions of this Chapter and the rules, regulations, and orders issued hereunder. The members of the Board of Ethics shall constitute the supervisory committee. B. The members of the supervisory committee shall be paid the same per diem as members of the legislature for each day of attendance at committee meetings, and shall receive reimbursement for vouchered traveling, lodging, and other expenses at the rate established for state employees. C. The members of the supervisory committee shall be immune from any civil liability for any official action taken in the exercise of their functions pursuant to or in connection with the provisions of this Chapter, except any wrongful and malicious act or gross negligence.
