A. During the first three years of employment, beginning teachers shall be provided by the local board with professional development opportunities and assistance designed to enhance teaching competencies in accordance with rules and regulations promulgated by the board. B. The local board shall provide targeted professional development to teachers to address deficiencies identified in the evaluation process.
