Louisiana Code § RS 17:2990.3

Assistance; tuition and income

Financial assistance shall be given to any lower income parent who: (1) Has a child or children in a nonpublic school and has paid a tuition to that school for the current school year in an amount in excess of $75.00 per child in grades 1 through 8, or in excess of $100.00 per child in grades 9 through 12, and (2) Has a total income for the previous year which does not exceed $7,500.00. Provided, that any parent whose total annual income exceeds $7,500.00 shall receive the amount specified in R.S. 17:2990.5, less any amount of tax credit given by the state of Louisiana as a consequence of his children's enrollment in a nonpublic school. Provided further, that in no event shall the financial assistance exceed the amounts stated in R.S. 17:2990.5.
